FAQs
Questions about CloudTally Pro
Licensing, signing in, subscriptions, sessions and support.
Licensing
Do I need my own Tally Prime licence?
Yes. Each client provides their own valid Tally Prime licence. CloudTally Pro provides the hosted access platform and does not sell, issue or include Tally Prime licences.
Where do I enter my licence details?
CloudTally Pro staff confirm this with you during onboarding, and your portal shows the agreed step. Never send licence keys or passwords in a support ticket or email.
Signing in
How do I get an account?
CloudTally Pro staff create your account and send you an invitation link to choose your password. Use Get started to tell us about your team.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Use “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page. Reset links work once and expire after 30 minutes.
Subscriptions
How are subscriptions managed?
CloudTally Pro staff set up, renew and change subscriptions for you. There is no online checkout. Your portal shows your plan, status and renewal date.
What happens if my subscription expires or is suspended?
You can still sign in to see your status and contact support, but Tally Prime cannot be opened until the subscription is active again.
Do prices include tax?
No. Listed prices are in Indian rupees and exclude applicable taxes and your Tally Prime licence.
Opening a session
How does a hosted session open?
In the portal, choose Open Tally Prime. Our server checks your subscription, seat and permissions, then hands you over to your hosted workspace in a new tab.
Can I use a laptop app instead of the browser?
A laptop access app that connects to the same workspace is planned. It appears under Downloads, with supported operating systems, version and setup steps, once it is approved for release.
Can I use Tally Prime on my phone?
We do not promise mobile access at this stage. Supported devices will be listed once the remote-access technology is confirmed.
Support, storage and backups
How do I get help?
Signed-in clients raise support tickets from the portal and can follow replies and status there.
How much storage do I get?
Each plan lists a proposed storage allowance. Your portal shows measured usage and your configured quota once storage monitoring is connected for your account.
Are backups included?
Your portal shows the backup policy assigned to your account and the latest verified result. Backup frequency, retention and restore arrangements are confirmed per account; if nothing is configured yet, the portal says so plainly.
Still have a question?
Send us a note and CloudTally Pro staff will get back to you.
